Tallysman Wireless is an Ottawa, ON based company and a leading supplier of enhanced Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) antennas for use on multi-constellational receivers for precision location, navigation, and timing applications, including Globalstar® and Iridium® Satcom Systems.

Tallysman Wireless also specializes in asset tracking applications that range from underground mines and student tracking (using RFID), to vehicle activity management (using GNSS). We develop and sell the software and hardware systems for provision of end-to-end asset tracking over a variety of two way radio systems, including Motorola MOTOTRBO, Kenwood NEXEDGE and Tait MPT1327 and DMR radio systems.

Tallysman Wireless is currently seeking a full-time self-motivated Digital Marketing Specialist to help grow our business and generate qualified leads. You will be challenged with the task of planning, managing and monitoring marketing campaigns and generating content. The ideal candidate has a great understanding of technology, a good eye for design, digital marketing experience and strong written communication skills.

Reporting to the CTO, the primary duties will be to provide engineering support to the sales function within Tallysman and to customers who may be using or considering using a Tallysman product. Specifically the position will involve liaising with customers to provide pre-sales support, or application engineering to help customers obtain optimum performance from their Tallysman products, and/or problem solving when customers encounter difficulties with their GNSS devices that have a relevance to a Tallysman product. Additional technical support will be available from Design Engineering personnel to provide a deeper expertize base as and when required.

This position may also offer the opportunity to attend and support selling activities at trade shows, so that ideally willingness and ability to travel internationally from time to time will be a requirement.


  • Attendance and assistance at trade shows to provide technical support for the Companies sales activities
  • Receive, review and respond to technical and engineering questions raised by customers related to use of the products in customer defined environments
  • Close liaison with design engineering when necessary to resolve more complex issues raised by customers
  • Generation of summary reports of Sales Engineering actions and investigations both for internal consumption and external use
  • Liaise with customers to resolve issues / coordinate return of products under RMA where required


  • Some experience with GNSS positioning and RF products, would be helpful
  • A basic knowledge of basic RF instrumentation such as VNA’s, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers would also be helpful
  • Organized person with good organizational and documentation skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Good interpersonal skills, works well in a team environment capable of supportive interaction with production


  • At least a good bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Two or more years of technical involvement with RF or positioning devices

Responsible to the Production Floor Lead Hand, the candidate requires the following skill set:

  • Previous electronic assembly experience
  • Experience with fine soldering, stripping coax, wires, and RF Connector Assembly
  • Electronic Assembly Certificate or IPC certification preferred
  • Requires good manual dexterity for working with small components and mechanical parts
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken and work well in a team environment
