Tallysman Wireless also specializes in asset tracking applications that range from underground mines and student tracking (using RFID), to vehicle activity management (using GNSS). CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

Electronics/Production Technician

Tallysman is looking for an Electronics/Production Technician/Technologist to support our rapidly expanding Production. The successful candidate will very likely have a 2-3 Diploma from Community College and relevant experience with typical lab equipment. An ideal candidate would have experience in an RF environment.

The duties will be to:

  • Test product to specifications
  • Debug as required in Production
  • Trimming ceramic elements to frequency
  • Assembly of product

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, and build strong working relationships
  • Ability to analyze and debug at a PCB level.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent hand/eye co-ordination and soldering skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and statistical methods (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Hours are 7:30AM to 4PM Monday to Friday

QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER – MANAGER
Tallysman is looking for a creative quality Engineer to manage the existing infrastructure and to develop and implement effective quality objectives and to subsequently build a Quality Assurance system capable of certification to ISO 9001 standards. The successful candidate will very likely have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering and have a good knowledge in the areas of ISO9001, as it relates to product or process quality. The duties will be to:

  • Devise and implement methods and procedures for determination of compliance of incoming goods
  • Ensure manufacturing and test procedures are sufficient to enable quality compliant production
  • Manage QA department.
  • Define sampling plans to ensure compliance with parameters/characteristics determined by design or characterization remain specified parameters
  • Perform statistical analysis to assess supplier performance, manufacturing yields, and Company compliance with promises to customers
  • Define requirements for handling of non-compliant inventory
  • Reconcile and document product requirements with economical and effective product flows and material handling procedures.
  • Liase with customer Quality Assurance personal to demonstrate compliance with customer QA requirements and resolve Quality issues that may arise

Qualifications:

  • Experienced Technologist or Bachelor’s degree

ELECTRONICS ASSEMBLER

Responsible to the Production Floor Lead Hand the candidate will require the following skill set:

  • Previous electronic assembly experience
  • Experience with fine soldering, stripping coax, wires and RF Connector Assembly
  • Electronic Assembly Certificate or IPC certification preferred
  • Requires good manual dexterity for working with small components and mechanical parts
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken and work well in a team environment
